Household appliances production
Ro.Bia.Plast moulding company Italy, specialized in household appliances production, was born at the beginning of the 1990's as a second production house for Biagio Rotondaro, its sister company. Biagio Rotondaro was born in 1975 as a mould making and moulding house for plastic materials. The problem of designing and making the mould as well as the entire moulding process is resolved in-house without having the problem of various suppliers. In thirty years, Biagio Rotondaro has had a constant development which has created structural growth, manufacturing growth and an increase in staff numbers. Today with a factory of 3600 sq. meters located close to Milan, Biagio Rotondaro has several departments including: designing, prototyping, mould making and moulding of plastic items, working together to produce efficiency, harmony and customer satisfaction.
Since 1998 Biagio Rotondaro and Ro.Bia.Plast have received the quality system certificate for the moulding of plastic items. In 2003 both companies were certificated with new UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 concerning the activities: designing, mould making with the relative moulding, assembly and sale of small household appliances.
Manufacturing of electric appliances, and vacuum cleaner production in particular, are the most company's working field.
The manufacturing of vacuum cleaners and all the electric appliances production are developed by the following steps:
Designing
The technical office is composed of highly competent workstations with different softwares: PRO-ENGINEER for the designing of new items, TOP-MOLD for the designing of moulds, SUM to transfer the data of any workings of our mould to the milling machine via software, PCAM to transfer the data of any workings of our mould to the wire-cut EDM's via software and AUTOCAD for the bidimensional designing.
Prototyping
After having obtained the model by stereolithography, we make a silicon mould which enables us to produce samples in a very short time; this allows us to value all the technical characteristics of the product and to improve it before making the final mould in metal. On top of this, the silicon mould enables us to show the sample product whilst waiting for the first pieces in plastic to be moulded.
Moulding
The moulding department is made up of 30 injection moulding machines. We have a range of machines that goes from 25 to 370 tonnes and the possibility of moulding a single piece up to 1000 grams of weight, two machines for bi-coloured or bi-material items. The injection moulding machines are robotic operating systems that intervene at every level of the production process: from the loading of the raw material to the moulding, up to the evacuation and the separation of the waste of the finished product. Robiaplast's work also includes ultrasonic plastic welding and pad printing. The first represents a type of welding that is necessary for the assemblage of more items, whilst the latter is used to print logos with a large selection of writing styles and also used for any tailor-made messages desired by the client.
Assembly Line
A traditional assembly line is also possible through a third party with the guarantee of maximum precision according to the times and needs of the client.
